Health Impacts of Waterloo Wind Farm

In the recent review (not study) of the health impacts of wind farms, the NH&MRC renewed their call for a precautionary approach and emphasised the need for more research. This recommendation echoed their earlier Rapid review, as well as the Senate enquiry in 2011 – that more research was needed as there was a paucity of  high quality studies available.

This most recent review from the NH&MRC  contained only one Australian study – where a farmer’s wife, STT pin-up girl, Mary Morris, put in the hard yards and got something  decent done to survey the residents around the Waterloo Wind farm in South Australia (see our posts here, here and here).

The South Australian EPA promised big, but delivered a pitiful effort in their study of the noise…

Powerful Nonsense: Even With Mythical Mega-Batteries 100% Renewable Energy Remains 100% Fantasy

No country has ever powered itself entirely on sunshine and breezes. But that doesn’t deter the delusional from claiming it can be done. With the kind of fanatical zeal that led to virgins being thrown into volcanoes, politicians announce their commitment to an all sun and wind powered future, as if such a thing was a given and unicorns were a real thing.

Ignoring pesky phenomena, such as calm weather and sunset, the latest wheeze is that – when wind power output collapses on a total and totally unpredictable basis (see above the output from every wind turbine connected to Australia’s Eastern Grid in June) and/or the sun goes down and solar output plummets with it – giant batteries will, somehow, save the day.

Attempting to defy the laws of physics, nature and economics, a growing number of American politicians are dragging their states and cities down the rabbit hole.

The German government has been caught erasing data that shows residents are exposed to levels of wind turbine infrasound dangerous to health.

Not for the first time and not for the last time is a government complicit in causing wholesale harm to its citizens. No country went harder or faster than Germany when it came to the rollout of industrial wind. And no government has more to lose, as residents react to the contempt that’s been dished out to them on a daily basis, for nearly 20 years.

Dark Ages Deliverance: Australia’s Energy Minister Contracts Coal-Fired Power to Avoid More Mass Blackouts

Intermittent wind and solar guarantee power supply chaos and are a recipe for mass load shedding and blackouts: ask South Australians.

While the Federal Energy Minister, Angus Taylor’s public focus has been on reducing power prices, in reality his ‘mission-critical’ is ensuring that there is enough reliable electricity generating capacity in the system to prevent the entire Eastern Grid from collapsing.

The chaotic delivery of wind and solar has left Australia’s Eastern Grid on the brink of collapse. The Eastern Grid connects Queensland, New South Wales, the ACT, Victoria, Tasmania and South Australia.

Reliable coal-fired generators have been knocked out of the game, made uneconomic thanks to renewable energy policies that direct more than $3 billion a year in subsidies to wind and solar, and which give wind and solar preferential access to the grid.

Remember all those glowing stories about wind power outfits being welcomed into rural communities with open arms? You know, tales about how farmers are dying to have turbines lined up all over their properties? How locals can’t wait to pick up some of the thousands of permanent, high paying jobs on offer? How developers are viewed with the kind of reverence reserved for Royalty?

We’ve forgotten them too.

After years of being lied to, bullied, berated and treated like fools (at best) and “road-kill” (at worst), for most, the ‘gloss’ comprising wind industry PR efforts to ‘win hearts and minds’ has well and truly worn off.

The World Health Organization’s declaration that wind turbine noise is a serious health hazard, is a liability bombshell for developers and governments, alike.

No longer can wind power outfits and those that make a living running propaganda for them claim that ‘there’s nothing to see here, move on.’ The wind industry’s victims – mocked and denigrated for years – have been vindicated. Now comes the vengeance. Litigation is already on foot in Victoria, with more claims to follow.

The significance of the WHO’s new noise guidelines hasn’t been lost on STT Champions Alan Jones and Liberal MP, Craig Kelly.
